The star awards are the flagship annual awards ceremony to celebrate excellence amongst the 6,000 staff of Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH).
Categories include Innovation and Service Improvement, improving patient experience, star volunteer.
SASH includes East Surrey Hospital, as well as services at Crawley, Horsham and Caterham Dene Hospitals, and other satellite sites, from Caterham and Dorking, to Horsham. The hospitals serve 744,000 people across East Surrey and West Sussex, including Gatwick Airport, providing planned and emergency care from before birth, to end of life.
The star awards will be promoted both internally at the Trust, and externally to the local community for many months, and following a nomination process, the awards culminate with an awards presentation event in March 2025 at Reigate Town Hall, attended by c100 invited guests – including members of the trust board, award nominees, and the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead.
