Bid in our silent auction for a luxurious 30-minute helicopter experience and help support the SASH Cancer Fund. Every penny raised will go towards enhancing support for people with cancer at the East Surrey Macmillan Cancer Centre.

Experience Details:
  • Helicopter: AW109 Grand, one of the most luxurious helicopters in the country.
  • Duration: 30-minute round-trip flight.
  • Departure point: Biggin Hill.
  • Route: Weather, and air traffic control permitting, the tour will take you from Biggin Hill in the Surrey Hills, to central London - from East London near the QE2 bridge, over central London towards Richmond, then returning to Biggin Hill.
  • Passengers: 4 people, including the lucky winner.
  • Luxury: This VIP helicopter offers a truly lavish experience, ensuring a smooth and memorable flight.
How to participate:
  1. Place your bid: To enter the auction, simply email your bid to sash.charity@nhs.net. Stating how much you pledge to pay for the helicopter tour. (Please do not send money unless we contact you as the winning bidder). 
  2. Bid deadline: All bids must be received by 16th December 2025 at 5:00 PM.
  3. Winner announcement: The lucky winner will be announced on Christmas Day—what better way to celebrate the season?

Every penny from the winning bid will helps us do more for people with Cancer here in the East Surrey Macmillan Cancer Centre. Your support is invaluable, and this Christmas, you can give back in a way that’s both thrilling and meaningful.

  • The helicopter experience is valid for 4 passengers.
  • Bidders must be 18 years or older and medically fit to fly.  Please note the helicopter has a maximum weight of 120kg per passenger.
  • Experience will be scheduled at a mutually agreed time, subject to availability and weather conditions.
  • Please include a contact number in your email for swift communication.
  • If we are unable to reach the winning bidder after multiple attempts, the opportunity will be offered to the next highest bidder.
  • All bids are final, and payment is non-refundable. Only the highest winning bidder will be contacted*
    • *The winner must complete payment within 24 hours of acknowledgment to secure the experience.
    • Please include a contact number in your email for prompt communication.
    • If we are unable to contact the winning bidder after multiple attempts, the experience will be offered to the next highest bidder.
  • The winner will be confirmed upon receipt of payment, which must be made within 24 hours of acknowledgment.
  • As this VIP helicopter tour is a unique opportunity - a reserve price of £1000 applies (the tour has an estimated value of £3,500). If the highest bid is below that, then the Auction will be void, and a new auction opened.
