"At times like these, we all need to come together to support each other"– Stoneman’s Team

Thank you Stoneman’s Funeral Service for raising an incredible £2458.26 for Godstone Ward through the SASH cancer fund.  

Braving the elements, the Stoneman’s team, along with friends and family, took on a 5k twilight walk in Reigate. Even through the downpour of never-ending rain, their dedication prevailed until the very end. This incredible initiative was a heartfelt moment spurred on to raise as much as possible to show their thanks and appreciation for the care that loved ones have received in Godstone ward.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Stoneman’s for not only creating awareness but for their unwavering commitment in going above and beyond for patients and staff at East Surrey Hospital.

The SASH Cancer Fund (https://sashcharity.enthuse.com/cf/cancerfund) plays a crucial role in supporting all the cancer services offered at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. This encompasses vital areas such as:

  • East Surrey Macmillan Cancer Support Centre
  • Haematology ward based at East Surrey Hospital
  • Chemotherapy suite based at East Surrey Hospital
  • Comet Ward in Crawley Hospital
  • Diagnostic imaging based at Crawley Hospital and Horsham Hospital.

Thanks to wonderful individuals such as the team at Stoneman’s, patients, families and friends have said thank you to you by:

  • Transforming the chemotherapy suite to have beautiful wall coverings throughout
  • Brand-new chemotherapy chairs
  • A new TV for the Haematology ward to help with patient entertainment

And coming soon…a summerhouse for patients to retreat in at the East Surrey Macmillan Cancer Support Centre
