How will my fundraising help?
750 people will spend tonight night in East Surrey Hospital. Another 100 people will arrive in the next 24 hours in a blue light emergency ambulance. A dozen babies will be born in the hospital. Some requiring special care in our neonatal unit.
Your fundraising can make being in hospital better. For everyone. When we need it most.
Being in hospital is really hard for children. We are trying to raise £156,000 to refurbish Outwood Ward. Creating a nicer space for younger children, a dedicated adolescent mental health space, and providing new gaming trolleys & toys.
With your help we hope to refurbish two isolation rooms used by children with cancer.
Too many of us get cancer. The cancer fund supports the East Surrey Macmillan Cancer Centre, and helps enhance diagnosis, treatment, and care for people with cancer across the area. Right now we’re trying to raise £44,000 to purchase two new scalp cooling machines to help reduce hair loss for people having chemotherapy at East Surrey & Crawley Hospitals.
The neonatal intensive care unit in East Surrey Hospital cares for 500 local babies each year - and their families. We are fundraising to help purchase an additional Transport Incubator, and expand support for parents of premature babies.
Your donations can also help with stroke rehabilitation, enhancing emergency care, bringing music therapy to people with dementia in the hospital…. and more.
