£4000 was kindly donated by Reigate Rotary Club to improve staff rest areas at East Surrey Hospital. This contribution has led to the installation of four picnic benches for healthcare professionals to enjoy in our PGEC courtyard.
It was lovely to be able to thank Reigate Rotary Club in person, alongside Sarah Herridge-Lewer, Divisional Chief Nurse for Surgery, and to show them how their donation has benefited NHS colleagues, who truly appreciate having a place to relax outdoors inbetween duties. Staff can now enjoy much-needed breaks while listening to the soothing sounds of an outdoor water feature, all thanks to these additional places of rest in the outside space.
The funds were raised through a raffle organised by Reigate Rotary Club, which generated significant community support and enthusiasm. This raffle has directly supported the well-being of those who work tirelessly serving the communities health needs.
