Here at East Surrey Hospital's children's ward we have taken delivery of two new RockinR consoles, a welcome addition made possible by the generous backing of McCormickCo Security.
These custom-built trolleys, put together by TheRockinR, are designed to bring a bit of home comfort to young patients. Loaded with gaming consoles, they offer children the chance to play their favorite games or settle in for a film, providing a much-needed diversion from their hospital routine.
For children undergoing treatment, especially those who are regular patients on the ward, these additional trolleys are a game-changer. They'd often wished for more consoles to avoid waiting, and now, with two new units, more children can stay entertained while in hospital. However, these trolleys offer much more than just gaming and entertainment. They provide a vital distraction, allowing children to momentarily forget about the medical equipment that's helping them, like drips or oxygen masks. This can be incredibly beneficial, helping to ease anxiety and making it easier for treatment to continue without interruption.
