This Easter, we were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of so many individuals, families, and organisations who helped bring smiles to our patients, families, and staff.
Thank you to everyone who helped, whether you donated quietly behind the scenes, helped organise the celebrations, or delivered treats in person. We’re truly grateful for each and every one of you. Below are some special shout-outs, along with photos of those who helped make this Easter so special.
We want to say a huge thank you to Isaac and his family, who donated Easter eggs and activity packs for the children on Outwood ward. It meant a lot to the young patients spending Easter in hospital.

We’re also really grateful to The Collar Crew and their customers for their generous donations – a great example of a local business rallying their community to help others. Thank you all!

Little Hugo and his parents brought in some Easter treats for staff. Thoughtful touches like this go a long way in making colleagues feel appreciated. You are amazing, thank you, Hugo.

Thomas, an inspiring supporter, collected and donated an incredible 162 luxury Easter eggs with help from his friends and family. These were shared with children and their families across the hospital, including our neonatal unit, where the Matron said:
“Thank you for the Easter eggs. The parents and siblings enjoyed them.”

A big thank you to Tyla and Nicki for their kind donation of Easter eggs to our Children’s Outpatients department. The department are so happy that you visited. We’re also really grateful for taking the time to find out about supporting our adolescent space on the children’s ward – it means a lot. Thank you both for your kindness and interest in making a difference.

A big thank you to Bellway Homes South London for their generous Easter donation to East Surrey Hospital. The idea, led by Commercial Director Chris Austen, was all about bringing smiles to young patients over Easter – and it certainly did just that. We’re so grateful for your support and the thoughtful way you involved your whole team.

A heartfelt thank you to Crawley Down Gatwick FC – your generosity made Easter Sunday extra special for so many children. We’re especially grateful you took the time to visit straight after your game.

Thank you to The Teddy Bear Run team brought soft toys to share with young patients – it's so thoughtful of you all and they brought comfort to many children.

On Easter Sunday, our staff and patients made the most of the day together. It’s never easy being in hospital during holidays, but there was a real sense of care and support across the wards.

Clowns in the Sky sent over seasonal arts and crafts packs, which were a big hit with the children on Outwood ward. It gave them something creative and calming to focus on during their stay. Thank you for bringing the creativity this Easter.

A huge thank you to Peak 15, who went above and beyond to support children and families at East Surrey Hospital this Easter. They surprised children in the Emergency Department with Easter eggs, nappies, toys, and snacks. Their generosity also extended to Outwood ward, where more toys were donated, and to our Nearly New Toy Sale, helping even more families benefit from their kindness.

A big thank you to Skipton Building Society in Reigate for delivering Easter eggs for our young patients and for kindly displaying our charity leaflets in the community. Your support helps not only in the moment with thoughtful gifts, but also by raising awareness of the work we do throughout the year. We're so grateful for your ongoing kindness and for helping us reach more people in the local area.

Every gift, big or small, made a real difference to the people in our care and the staff looking after them. Thank you for thinking of our hospital this Easter.
