Thanks to a recent generous donation from the Redhill & Reigate Round Table, we now have two out of the five gaming consoles we're aiming for in our children's appeal.
But we still need your help to bring three more consoles to the children who need them. If you work at London Gatwick, every £250 raised will be matched by London Gatwick, doubling the impact of your contribution!

What a truly wonderful device! Rockin' R helped bring reprieve to our 2 day stay for my 5yr old. He played console games, watched films and together we watched channel 4 programmes whilst he was in recovery and during post op assessments we once again utilised it's full services. What difference you will make?
Enhance distraction and comfort: providing children with familiar gaming technology can help to alleviate stress during hospital stays, offering a comforting and engaging distraction.
Improve patient experience: the consoles provide a variety of games and shows to watch, which can be tailored to different age groups, making experiences less initimidating for young patients. Some treatments can take their toll on children, and in times when they are not up for conversations, and need a form of escapism, these consoles can make a huge difference to their morale.
Complementing standard care: the gaming console will aid the play team and nursing staff in delivering care, allowing them to engage with patients in a supportive manner and help children cope with the challenges and unfamiliarity that a hospital environment can bring.
