Sometimes small things can make a big difference to how it feels to be in hospital.

Alongside major fundraising appeals (most recently for the Camomile Courtyard), your donations help enable a whole range of smaller things which make a difference for patients, staff, and visitors to the hospitals. We meet every month to review ideas submitted by staff (from any part of SASH NHS Trust).

Our most recent meeting took place this morning (Friday 5 April) and among the ideas which your donations made possible (subject to some final practical queries) were:

  1. A beautiful new image of bluebells in the woods near here for one of the patient rooms, inspired by some of the nurses taking a patient to the bluebell railway.
  2. Improvements to the garden which is used by patients & visitors to the Macmillan Cancer Centre at the Hospital
  3. An event at the hospital for nurses who have moved to work here (sometimes without knowing anyone here at all!) so they can feel welcomed, meet colleagues and new friends

It’s your donations which make this possible. If you’d like to join us in helping patients and families right here, please donate now via the link on this page. You can make a one-off gift, or set up a regular donation (however small or large!).
