The annual Horley Lions Dog Show was a resounding success, raising funds and awareness for the Surrey and Sussex Healthcare (SASH) Charity. The event, held on 1st September 2024, drew a large crowd of dog lovers and their furry friends, creating a brilliant atmosphere while supporting worthy causes.

The event’s program featured an array of engaging dog competitions, from the entertaining "Best Trick" to heartwarming categories like "Best Rescue" and the amusing "Best Sausage Catcher." Alongside the dog contests, attendees enjoyed a variety of stalls run by local businesses, offering unique products and services. A selection of food vendors kept the crowd well-fed with delicious treats, ensuring everyone had something to enjoy.

SASH Charity is incredibly grateful for the support received from the Horley Lions Club and the local community. Their generous donation of £850, all of which will be donated to SASH Charity’s Children's Appeal. These funds will be used to purchase a Rhino Sensory Trolley, a specialised piece of equipment designed to provide children undergoing medical treatment with engaging and therapeutic sensory experiences, helping them feel more comfortable during their hospital stays.

The event would not have been possible without the dedication of numerous volunteers, thank you to everyone who came and supported, including our fluffy volunteer - Milo!  Their efforts helped make the day a triumph for both SASH Charity and the many families and dog owners who came to show their support.

We are looking forward to the next event alongside our friends at the Horley Lions! Thanks for a brilliant day.
