Throughout the year, businesses and local communities have wanted to support and show their appreciation for all the work our SASH colleagues do each and every day. Gifts in kind are so generous, here are five gifts in kind that have gone to NHS colleagues this year!
1.) A donation of over 200 cases of ice lollies was donated by Jude’s for staff to enjoy. This led to a wonderful two day event of ice lollies being distributed across all of our sites.
2.) 10kg of Fruit and bottles of water for staff donated by The Pilot’s Hub (Redhill Aerodrome)
The Pilot’s Hub supported the opening of our pods by providing a range of delicious fruit and thirst quenching water for staff to enjoy. The water and fruit went down a treat on what was a super sunny day.
3.) Easter eggs donated to the children’s ward by the Redhill Kumon Centre
The Easter bunny came to SASH to deliver 100 Easter eggs to Outwood ward for the children to enjoy. This was all thanks to the generosity of the Redhill Kumon Centre wanting to support some of your youngest patients at SASH.
4.) Contigo bottles and thermal flasks
We love to incorporate random acts of kindness into the day and due to the generous donation from Newell Brands, we did just that.
5.) Afternoon tea at Nutfield Priory Hotel and Spa
A very kind voucher was donated to us for a lucky member of staff to enjoy afternoon tea for two at the Nutfield Priory Hotel and Spa. This was donated to support the NHS Big Tea which took place on the 5th July 2021. It was great to see how departments got on board with the celebrations and took a few moments out of their day to have a cuppa.
To create more moments to support those in need at SASH please text 12NHS to donate £12 this Christmas to 70085 (text costs £12 + one standard message) – Thank you.
